How many times do you get out of bed and wear your pajamas
all day? Or maybe you do spiff up and put on some sweat pants
and even a pair of shoes. I can not even tell you how many
times I have done this. But I have found when I get up and
get dressed in a more presentable manner I also have a better
attitude towards my day and my business.
Why not print the following on a sheet of paper and hang where
you will see it every day. For me that would be above my computer
and I am sure this holds true for most of you!
Get Up! Get Dressed! Get Going!
Make several and pass along to your downline members.
Some benefits of getting dressed and ready for your day
are as follows:
- A possible recruit calls and would like to meet with
you for more information or to sign up but can only meet
with you within an hour or two that day. If you are ready
you can say - "Great, what time is best for you?"
if you are not ready you will have to tell them you will
have to get ready and can't possibly make it today and the
possible recruit will be looking for the person who can
make it today - the person who Got Up! Got Dressed! and
Got Going!
- A customer calls and wants to see a certain product but
only can schedule you in for today within the hour, if you
are dressed and ready you can be there within minutes if
not you may decide to go as you are ( sweat pants and all)
this may turn your customer off and result in no orders
or no new orders because of your unprofessional look.
Most companies have a section or handout about approprate
dress. You may want to hold a meeting specifically on this
subject but do it nicely.
I am not telling you to get dressed in a way that you are
uncomfortable. I am a jeans and tshirt person but instead
of my worn out jeans and stained t-shirts I can wear a newer
pair of jeans preferrably black with loafers, sandals, boots
and wear a tshirt with my company name and phone number
on it. Brush my hair and teeth and wear the amount of cosmetics
that I am comfortable with.
So...
Get Up! Get Dressed! Get Going!
